According to Korean tech news site DDaily, Samsung has commenced the production of 5.25-inch display panels, sporting a jaw-dropping 2560 x 1440 pixels (widescreen quad HD, or WQHD) for the company's next-generation flagship Smartphone, the Galaxy S5. While Samsung won't be the first to the market with a 1440p Smartphone, it will certainly launch the Smartphone with the highest pixel density (our calculations put it around 560 ppi). If Samsung keeps the bezel under check, they could make a phone that is just a tad larger than the LG G2 (5.2-inch display, very compact) despite the increased screen size.
Ready for some Smartphone display porn? CES 2014 is almost here, and we bet that Samsung will have a special booth to show off their latest developments.
