Although China will still be the largest FPD (flat-panel display) TV market around the world in 2014, sales are expected to decrease to 44 million units, according to the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC).

　　As FPD TV retail channels in the China market have been clearing inventories, deliveries have been relatively low, and the weak demand is not expected to rebound until the end of the first quarter of 2014, Taiwan-based TV supply chain makers said.

　　China-based vendors are expected to promote Ultra HD TVs in the China market in 2014, the sources indicated. Taiwan-based Innolux and AU Optronics, China-based BOE Technology and China Star Optoelectronics Technology as well as LG Display and Samsung Display will be main suppliers of Ultra HD TV panels in 2014, with Innolux aiming to be the largest, the sources noted.
