After announcing a new flagship and the accompanying 'Mini' version, ZTE is ready to commence selling the Nubia Z5S and Nubia Z5S Mini in China. Starting tomorrow, one of China's largest online retailers, JD, will begin selling both the affordable devices (remember, ZTE has already received over 2.5 million pre-orders).
While the 16 GB Nubia Z5S costs CNY 1999 ($330), the 16 GB Nubia Z5S Mini costs just CNY 1499 ($245). The former packs a 5-inch IGZO 1080p display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera with OIS and 4K video recording, 5 MP front cam and a 2,300 mAh battery. Not at all shabby for a $330 device, eh?
The Nubia Z5S Mini on the other hand features a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front snapper. Oh well, it does cost $85 less.
