Lenovo is putting in increased orders to the supply chains for notebook, tablet and smartphone products, according to industry sources.
The company is trying to bump up its market share in the three segments by pushing new products in the first quarter of 2014.
Supply chains as a result have order visibility until March when typically they see decreased order visibility in the first quarter of the year, as the time is often a slow period for mobile device shipments.
Lenovo is also reportedly preparing for demand during the Lunar New Year and will look to bump up its presence in emerging markets, the sources added.
The company expects shipments of its Yoga touch notebook series to be stable going into 2014 as well as for its Vibe smartphone series, the sources noted.
