LG Display plans to bump up production of 42- and 49-inch Ultra HD TV panels in the second quarter of 2013.

　　Market observers said the panels are meant to compete with 39- and 50-inch units in the market, most of which are made by Taiwan makers.

　　Shipments of Ultra HD TVs are expected to reach around 20 million units in 2014, the observers said.
