China-based vendor Coolpad aims to ship 60 million smartphones in 2014, hiking 50% on year, according to China-based Xinhua Online.
  Of the target shipments, 50-60% will be for sale through partnering with mobile telecom carriers, 20-30% through retail channels, and 20-30% through Coolpad's own e-commerce platform Da Shen, the report indicated.
  Coolpad has unveiled two TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode smartphones, the 5-inch Da Shen F1 and 7-inch Da Shen, in the China market at retail prices of CNY888 (US$147) and CNY1,888, respectively. Both models are equipped with a MediaTek-developed 8-core MT6592 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.
