Ultra HD TV panel shipments reached 3.1 million units in 2013, according to market observers.

　　Innolux was the number one producer of the technology in 2013, holding a 60% market share, with China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) coming in second followed by AU Optronics (AUO).

　　In the fourth quarter of 2013, shipments rose 14% on quarter to 1.34 million units. Ultra HD TV panels reached a 1.3% penetration rate as well, the observers added.

　　Most of the Ultra HD TV panels shipped in 2013 were sized 39, 50-, 55-, 58- and 65-inch, the observers noted, adding Ultra HD TV panel shipments are estimated at around 20 million units in 2014.
