Sony Mobile Communications is putting in new orders to supply chains, which will help bump up China-based touch panel makers' shipments in 2014.

　　The company is reportedly aiming to increase sales in the smartphone market, through sales of low-priced units that are equipped with high-end specifications. In order to achieve this, Sony is looking to touch panel makers in China for low-cost solutions.

　　Some touch panel orders will go toward Sony's Xperia T2 Ultra 4G, Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia Z1 4G.

　　Sony is also prepping for China's 4G market by increasing its relations with China-based telecom makers and supply chains.
