Panel and touch panel makers are seeing increased orders from China-based handset vendors as the vendors plan to release new large-size high-resolution 4G smartphones in 2014.

4G services are increasing in China and therefore demand for 4G compatible smartphones is rising. Handset replacement demand is also emerging in the China market.

Most vendors will reportedly release 4G smartphones in 2014 priced CNY799-2000 (US$132-330) in addition to various CNY1,000 TD-LTE smartphones.

Roughly 200 million 4G terminal devices are expected to be sold in the China market in 2014, according to market observers.
