Consolidated revenues at memory module manufacturer Transcend Information increased 15.1% sequentially to NT$2.44 billion (US$80.5 million) in January 2014, buoyed by brisk shipments of solid-state drives (SSD) as well as industrial memory products.
Consumer flash devices accounted for 50.4% of Transcend's January consolidated sales, followed by industrial and strategic products with 35.4%. DRAM modules made up the remainder.
Transcend expects its revenues to register another sequential growth in February, despite fewer working days during the month. Demand for industrial products and SSDs will continue to buoy the company's February sales.
Fellow memory module company Adata Technology, which has more than 50% of revenues generated from DRAM modules, saw its consolidated sales decrease 4.1% sequentially to NT$2.775 billion in January 2014. |
