Gionee, a Chinese company, has announced the world's slimmest Smartphone. The new Gionee Elife S5.5 is just 5.5mm thick, and despite that, it packs a big 2,300 mAh battery. Elife S5.5 will most certainly impress you, as the phone packs a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 SoC. Thge rest of the spec sheet is equally impressive - 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front snapper, 16 GB of expandable storage, 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Amigo 2.0 UI.
The Gionee Elife S5.5 is up for pre-order in China starting today for 2299 Yuan (roughly $380), and will be available in White, Pink, Blue, Black and Purple. You would be hard-pressed to find more powerful phone with an equally impressive set of features and specifications at this price range. Gionee plans to launch the Elise S5.5 in over 40 countries, with an LTE variant planned for June, 2014.
