MediaTek is expected to unveil its 64-bit LTE-enabled smartphone solution, the MT6732, in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The quad-core MT6732 will target the entry-level to mid-range LTE smartphone segment, competing directly with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 chipset, said the paper.
The MT6732 is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2014, while a high-end 64-bit chip, the MT6752, which will come with an 8-core CPU, is slated for the fourth quarter of the year, the paper added. |
