HTC announced the Desire 816, a mid-range 5.5-inch (HD resolution) Android phablet with a pretty powerful set of specifications. The device is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras, 8 GB of expandable storage, HTC BoomSound, 4G LTE support, 2,600 mAh battery, optional Dual SIM and Android Jelly Bean running HTC Sense 5.5 UI. Dressed with a lovely new design, the Desire 816 weighs only 165g (despite its big display), and is 7.99mm thick.

　　The HTC Desire 816 will be available starting this March in countries like China and India. Color options include White, Red, Green, Black and Purple.
