Sony, at MWC 2014, introduced the new Xperia Tablet Z2 alongside the Xperia Z2. The successor to the stunningly thin and beautifully crafted Xperia Tablet Z1 comes with the same 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200) Triluminos display, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage, 8.1 MP rear (with HDR capture) and 2.2 MP front Exmor RS cameras and IP58 certification. The front panel is scratch-proof, so no worries about keeping your keys on top of your new tablet by mistake.
Just like the original, the Xperia Tablet Z2 will be available in two versions - WiFi only (426g) and LTE-enabled (439g). Battery life is expected to remain the same, given that Sony hasn't touched the 6,000 mAh unit. Both versions will run Android 4.4 KitKat. A worldwide launch is slated for March, with no word on pricing as of yet.
