Taiwan-based supply chains are seeing increased orders from Xiaomi for new 49- and 55-inch TVs set to be mass produced in the second quarter of 2014, according to industry sources.

　　Makers such as Pegatron, Wistron and Radiant Optoelectronics are all expected to see orders from Xiaomi for the new TVs, with mass production expected to occur in the second quarter of 2014.

　　Samsung Display and LG Display meanwhile are expected to supply the LCD TV panels, the sources said, adding that China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) is also likely to supply panels.

　　The sources revealed the TVs will be smart TVs and that Xiaomi is also looking at Ultra HD TV panels for testing in new products.
