Having posted record high revenues of NT$9.84 billion (US$322.15 million) in 2013, memory module maker Apacer Technology will aim to boost its sales of embedded, industrial, consumer and overclocked SSDs to Europe to sustain growth, according to the company.
Booming businesses related to Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing and mobile devices will drive up demand for SSDs, said company newly appointed president CK Chang.
Apacer expects its revenues to grow 15-20% in 2014 after gaining a 27.7% growth in the previous year, Chang estimated.
Sales of SSDs currently account for 48-50% of Apacer's total revenues, while industrial-use embedded memory devices take up 32%, and NAND flash memory cards and drives 20%.
Net profits reached NT$447 million in 2013, up 12.4% on year. The earnings translated into an EPS of NT$3.33 for the year. Based on that, the company plans to deal out cash dividends of NT$2 for 2013.
