Xiaomi's recently announced Redmi Note racked up 100,000 units in sales in just under 34 minutes. While some might say that Xiaomi is slacking, especially if compared to their previous sales feat of 100,000 Xiaomi Hongmi units in under 4 minutes, OEMs across the globe are certain to find these figures very impressive.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note is a 5.5-inch phablet packing pretty decent specifications - HD display, octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP camera, 3,200 mAh battery - while being priced at an affordable 999 Yuan (roughly $160). A cheaper variant also exists, that cuts down on the clock speed and RAM amount, costing 799 Yuan ($130). Both models run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
