Sony has updated their website, confirming that the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z will be receiving the long-awaited Android 4.4 KitKat update in May. Owners of the aforementioned devices have had to wait for a really long time as Sony prioritized the KitKat update for Snapdragon 800-powered devices such as the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, etc. The older range is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 chipset.
