HTC today launched a trio of new Smartphones in India. First up is the company's new flagship device, the HTC One (M8). Available in Glacial Silver, Gunmetal Gray and Amber Gold, the new One carries an MOP of Rs. 49,900. We can only assume that the MRP is much higher. Therefore, HTC chose not to even mention it during the launch event.
Next up is the HTC Desire 816. Borrowing from the design of the One, the Desire 816 sports a 5.5-inch display and is the Taiwanese company's effort to bring affordable phablets to the masses. While Rs. 23,990 isn't exactly cheap, this is HTC's biggest device at such a low price point.
HTC also announced the Desire 210, an entry level device that packs a 4-inch WVGA display, 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572M chipset, 512 MB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera, dual SIM support, a 1,300 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The same can be had for as little as Rs. 8,700 starting May 2nd.
