DRAM maker Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) has posted revenues of NT$8.136 billion (US$251.65 million) for May 2010, up 8% sequentially. Peer Nanya Technology saw May revenues remain almost flat on month, while Inotera Memories reported a sequential revenue drop.
On an annual basis, PSC, Nanya and Inotera all saw their May revenues grow significantly compared to levels in May 2009.
PSC attributed its sequential revenue increase in May to capacity support from Rexchip Electronics, its joint venture with Elpida Memory. PSC also claimed improved yield rates on its major process technology, growing foundry orders, and higher ASPs allowed its monthly revenues to remain on a growth track. May marked PSC's third-straight month of sequential growth despite seasonality.
PSC's accumulated revenues through May totaled NT$33.96 billion, a jump from NT$6.49 billion during the same period of 2009.
Nanya generated revenues of NT$5.27 billion in May, up 0.9% on month. Revenues for the first five months of 2010 amounted to NT$24.61 billion, up over 100% from NT$11.71 billion a year ago.
Inotera reported revenues of NT$3.91 billion for May 2010, down 8.1% from April. Accumulated revenues through the month were NT$19.69 billion, a 75% rise from 2009. |
