Reports suggest that the Apple iPhone phablet has been delayed due to issues related to the battery design. According a publication from Taiwan, Apple has been unsuccessful in finding a battery which measures 2mm or less, meeting all the required parameters to fit into the slim device. Previous reports suggest that the iPhone phablet, one of the two new iPhones coming in 2H 2014, will feature a 5.5-inch high-resolution display. Apple will charge a premium for the bigger screen, said another report.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone phablet, both of which are expected to be powered by the new Apple A8 chipset, could debut before the end of 2014, but not anytime soon.
