MediaTek has reported consolidated revenues of NT$19.1 billion (US$631 million) for April 2014, hitting a monthly record for the third consecutive month. The figures also represented a growth of 9.6% sequentially and 51.9% on year.
For the first four months of 2014, revenues amounted to NT$65.1 billion, increasing 78.1% from a year earlier.
The company said earlier that it expects revenues to grow 12-20% sequentially to NT$51.5-55.2 billion in the second quarter, from NT$46.01 billion the previous quarter.
Judging from MediaTek's guidance, the company's monthly sales may drop to NT$15-17 billion on average in May and June, respectively, according to an industry estimate. |
