Quanta Computer expects its notebook shipments in the second quarter of 2014 to increase 10% sequentially mainly due to growing global demand for low-price models, according to company vice president CC Leung at a May 13 investors conference.
Quanta shipped 10.5 million notebooks in first-quarter 2014, growing 8.2% on year. Quanta had 35% of 2013 consolidated revenues coming from product lines other than notebooks and the company hopes that the proportion of non-notebook revenues in 2014 can rise significantly.
Quanta's board of directors decided to distribute a cash dividend per share of NT$3.80 for 2013, accounting for 78.51% of the corresponding net EPS of NT$4.84.
