Demand for 4G LTE-enabled chips as well as smartphones is expected to grow robustly in 2014 with the growth pace to accelerate in the second half of the year, according to Eddie Chang, president of Qualcomm Taiwan.

　　Qualcomm is currently developing the fourth generation of its 4G LTE smartphone solutions supporting Cat 6 LTE standards, with related smartphones and end-market devices to begin hitting the market from the third quarter of 2014, Chang revealed.

　　Qualcomm currently has a complete product portfolio covering the entry-level, mid-range and high-end handset solution segments, Chang commented.
