China-based vendor Lenovo shipped 55 million notebooks and desktops, 50 million smartphones and 9.2 million tablets in fiscal 2013 (April 2013-March 2014), according to the company.
Lenovo recorded consolidated revenues of US$38.707 billion, gross margin of 13.08%, net operating profit of US$1.052 billion and net profit of US$817 million for the fiscal year. For its fiscal fourth quarter alone, Lenovo posted consolidated revenues of US$9.357 billion, gross margin of 13.29%, net operating profit of US$231 million and net profit of US$158 million.
Of the full-year consolidated revenues, 38.04% came from the domestic market, 24.75% from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, 21.28% from North and Latin Americas, 15.92% from Asia Pacific except China. Notebooks accounted for 50.9% of the consolidated revenues and shipments in the fiscal year took up 18.4% of global total, while desktops had a revenue proportion of 28.5% and a global market share of 16.7%. |
