There aren't many 7-inch Windows tablets in the market. Scratch that, there are barely a handful of 7-inch Windows slates, and the Toshiba Encore 7 is the newest addition to that segment. Powered by Windows 8.1, the Toshiba Encore 7 targets a low $150 price tag. At that price, we can hardly imagine the slate to pack high-end specifications.

　　However, if you do get a Windows 8.1 tablet for cheap, you could always hook it up to a monitor, connect a keyboard and mouse and you have a complete PC with you for basic tasks such as browsing, media, etc.
