Quanta Computer on June 10 reported consolidated revenues of NT$70.12 billion (US$2.33 billion) for May, decreasing 3.41% on month but increasing 14.8% on year, and NT$358.54 billion for January-May, growing 12.11% on year.
Quanta shipped 3.9 million notebooks in May and expects its second-quarter shipments to grow 10% from the first.
Despite the growth in notebook shipments, Quanta still suffered a revenue drop, implying that the company's shipments in the month were mostly entry-level, according to market watchers. Quanta's shipment growth in May was mainly contributed by the company's major client Hewlett-Packard (HP), the market watchers added. |
