Oppo announced the R3, a mid-range Android Smartphone that boasts LTE connectivity. The Oppo R3 has a 5-inch HD IPS display, 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras, a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage. Also, the handset has a 2,420 mAh battery and runs Color OS based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

　　What makes the Oppo R3 special is that it is the world's slimmest LTE-capable Smartphone (though those LTE bands are limited to Chinese carriers), measuring 6.3mm in thickness.

　　The Oppo R3 will go on sale in China next week for 2,290 CNY (roughly $370).
