The first quarter of 2014 was strong for the PC market in New Zealand. IDC's data shows that during the first three months of the year, there were 175,800 units shipped in New Zealand which is a 22 percent increase in sales. That increase can partially be attributed to people spending money on PCs to replace older Windows XP devices.

　　Any substantial increase in PC sales is an encouraging sign for manufacturers. Though, companies shouldn't get used to good sales reports like this since the trend for PCs is still not looking good.
