Qualcomm has released new chip that will improve 4G LTE wireless data service in their homes. The new chip, dubbed SM90xx, is built using 28-nanometer technology and can handle from four up to 16 different users in homes and small and medium-size businesses.

　　Due to significant cost cut of the silicon, the chip will probably be widely used by various vendors that build wireless access points (APs). In terms of security features, Qualcomm installed all the features from the high-end FSM99xx SoC.
