TPV Technology and Inventec originally planned to set up their all-in-one PC joint-venture, TPV-Inventa Technology, in Taiwan, but because of a delay in the legal process, both sides have decided to shift the establishment to Hong Kong and rename the joint venture as TPV-Inventa Holding. The original investment of US$20 million and respective stake ratios of 51:49 for TPV and Inventec will remain unchanged, according to market watchers.
Currently, TPV-Inventa has already landed all-in-one PC orders from Toshiba and Lenovo, and is working aggressively in contacting Hewlett-Packard (HP), hoping that Inventec's strong relationship with the firm will help TPV-Inventa acquire new orders.
HP currently mainly outsources its all-in-one PC orders to Quanta Computer and Wistron.
