Following last month's report by Forbes that Microsoft is working on a Smartband, TomsHardware reports that such a wearable product from Redmond does exist, and is gearing up to be launched in Q4 2014. Microsoft's very own Smartband is said to have 11 sensors packed inside it. Not just that, open APIs will help in the quick adoption of the gadget. Also, it is said to offer cross-platform compatiblity.
Of course, we urge you to take all this with two grains of salt. Personally, I'm a bit surprised to not hear about a Microsoft Smartwatch. If the company indeed has gone for a Smartband over the former, I am left wondering what the reason may be.
TomsHardware reports that Microsoft's Smartband will arrive in October this year. |
