Transcend Information has introduced its latest USB 3.0 portable solid state drive, the ESD400, which features storage capacities up to 1TB, transfer speeds up to 410MB/s read and 380MB/s write.

The ESD400 USB 3.0 portable SSD is equipped with the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connection interface that provides 10 times the bandwidth of USB 2.0. With UASP support, the ESD400 can deliver significantly faster performance, said the company.

Measuring 92 by 62 by 10.5mm and weighing 56g, the ESD400 supports backward compatibility with USB 2.0 devices.

Transcend's ESD400 portable SSDs are available for US$109 at 128GB, US$189 (256GB), US$349 (512GB) and US$699 (1TB).
