Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Tab S series tablets during an event in New Delhi, India. The tablets will be launching in the country on July 12, and they will be competing against similarly priced tablets from Android manufacturers as well as Apple. When the tablets launch, they will be accompanied by some special gifts from Samsung.

The company will offer 9GB of free 3G data for three months, though it isn't clear how long that promotion will be offered to customers.

The 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S model costs $630 while the 10.1-inch tablet costs around $745.
