Wistron shipped 1.9 million notebooks in June, the highest monthly level so far in 2014, and five million units in the second quarter, increasing 11% on quarter, according to the company.
With shipments of 9.5 million notebooks in the first half of 2014, Wistron aims to ship 20 million units in the year.
In addition to notebooks, Wistron shipped 1.35 million desktops, 800,000 LCD monitors, 450,000 LCD TVs, 180,000 servers and 1.2 million smart hand-held devices in June.
Wistron on July 8 reported consolidated revenues of NT$49.169 billion (US$1.64 billion) for June, growing 12.18% on month but dropping 7.99% on year, NT$135.834 billion for the second quarter, up 7.96% sequentially, and NT$261.651 billion for January-June, slipping 18.48% on year.
Fellow maker Inventec has reported June consolidated revenues of NT$34.549 billion, decreasing 0.56% on month and 7.19% on year, while its second-quarter consolidated revenues of NT$104.905 billion slipped 10.10% on quarter, and January-June revenues of NT$221.589 billion rose 8.63% on year. |
