Commenting on how to lead Acer out of its bottleneck, CEO Jason Chen at an interview with Sina.com said that the company is likely to continue running its PC business for the next several decades, but the cloud computing business will become the priority.

Chen said that Acer will gradually transfer from a hardware manufacturing company to an enterprise that offers hardware/software integrated solutions and services, the report noted.

Chen also mentioned that the smart device market is going through the same development as the PC market and Acer will eventually be able to gain a firm position in the market just like it did in the PC market, the report added.
