LG today announced an upgraded version of their flagship Smartphone in Korea. The LG G3 Cat.6 is essentially the LG G3, with added support for Category 6 LTE (225 Mbps downlink). This has been made possible by using Qualcomm's Gobi 9x35 Advanced Modem. The device itself is powered by the all new Snapdragon 805 chipset, which is a quad-core part with its cores clocked as high as 2.7 GHz. Also present is the new (and powerful) Adreno 420 GPU, which should make gaming a better experience on that 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display.

The LG G3 Cat.6 sports 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, a 13 MP camera, the same 3,000 mAh removable battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG's own custom UI. It will go on sale in Korea starting July 25th. No word on an international launch as of yet.
