The Mi 3 smartphone from Chinese phone maker Xiaomi sold out in India in just 40 minutes, and now the company is getting together a new batch of phones following yesterday's official launch. According to Xiaomi's own statistics, 100,000 phone registrations were made for the Mi 3 on Monday, and the majority of those are turning over into actual product sales.

India is a huge market, but 100,000 registrations in a little under 40 minutes says a lot about Xiaomi and the Mi 3.

Registrations are now opening for the second round of sales, and based upon how fast the Mi 3 sold out on Monday, you might want to register sooner rather than later.
