Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Note 4, Sony Mobile Communications the 5.2-inch Xperia Z3, Huawei Device the Ascend Mate 7 or Ascend D7, and Microsoft the Lumia 730 or Lumia 830 at the IFA consumer electronics show 2014 in Berlin, Germany, during September 5-10, according to industry sources.

Alongside IFA 2014, Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPhones on September 9, while the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) will also be hosted on the same date, heating up competition among smartphone vendors and related CPU suppliers.

During IFA 2014, Samsung may also unveil its Galaxy Alpha and Gear VR.

Intel will participate in IFA 2014, showcasing its full series of products, and senior vice president Kork Skaugen will provide keynotes about innovative PC products and future trends.

However, Intel is unlikely to reveal anything important until IDF San Francisco 2014.
