HTC has officially announced a new high-end Android Smartphone for the Asian markets. The HTC Butterfly 2 builds on the original by adding new features, most notably IP57 certification (water-resistant and dust-resistant) to the list, and faster specifications.

The HTC Butterfly 2 is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, coupled with 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB internal storage, 4G LTE support, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras, a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display, 2,700 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 UI.
Another interesting feature is the duo camera setup, which uses a 13 MP and 2 MP setup, unlike the HTC One M8. The device comes with a micro SD card slot, infrared LED and is 10mm thick, weighing 151 grams.
The HTC Butterfly 2 will go on sale in Taiwan starting September 2nd. It will eventually arrive in various Asian markets such as India, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. |
