Sharp announced two new Android Smartphones in Japan today. The new Aquos Crystal and Aquos Crystal X sport incredibly slim bezels, thin enough to fool one that it doesn't even exist. However, the price for minimal bezels on three sides is paid in full from the fourth side.

The Sharp Aquos Crystal X sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and a 2,610 mAh battery. It's just 139mm tall, 73mm wide and 11mm thick, making it the most compact 5.5-inch Smartphone in the world.
Then comes the Sharp Aquos Crystal, which sports a 5-inch 720p display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and a 2,040 mAh battery. This device is even more compact - 131 x 67 x 10mm.
Both Sharp Aquos Crystal phones come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. Also, they are exclusive to Japanese carrier SoftBank. |
