Huawei really doesn't think any operating system outside of iOS and Android has the ability to grow at this point, according to Richard Yu, Huawei's Chairman. While speaking with the Wall Street Journal, Yu stated Tizen, Windows Phone, and a Huawei-made mobile operating system have no chance of success. Tizen and Windows Phone are being used by other companies, so that's unfortunate for fans of those operating systems.

Yu says Huawei has been approached about making Tizen phones, but because the market for them is not very strong, the company doesn't plan on moving forward with any. A similar story was talked about in regards to Windows Phone. Yu says that Huawei lost money on all of its Windows Phone devices, so new ones are not in the pipeline right now.

At the end of the day, all of this means that the smartphone market really comes down to Android and iOS, at least for right now.
