Chinese phone maker Meizu announced its new flagship Android Smartphone in China today. The Meizu MX4 is a top-of-the-line handset, featuring some of the industry's most powerful components. It debuts MediaTek's new ARM Cortex A17 based MT6595 chipset, which has its primary cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and secondary Cortex A7 cluster clocked at 1.7 GHz. The chipset packs a PowerVR G6200 GPU.

Meizu has loaded the MX4 with a 5.36-inch 1920 x 1152 pixel IPS display, which translates to an impressive 418 ppi pixel density. The device sports 2 GB DDR3 RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, a 20.7 MP Sony IMX 220 Exmor RS rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 4K video recording and a 2.1 MP front camera.

The list of MX4's impressive specifications doesn't stop there. It's also got an NXP Smart PA 2nd gen audio chip, 4G LTE support, GLONASS and a 3,100 mAh removable battery. The Meizu MX4 is 8.9mm thick and weighs just 147g. Meizu claims that the body is made of an aircraft grade aluminum-magnesium alloy.

Meizu's new flagship, MX4, is running on Flyme OS 4.0, which is based on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat release. Pricing starts at 1799 CNY ($290) for the 16 GB variant, stretching up to 2399 CNY ($390) for the 64 GB variant. Pre-bookings have commenced, while the MX4 will go on sale in China starting September 30th.
