Acer has begun making announcements during IFA 2014. First, the company has introduced its latest smartphone, the Z500. In addition to that device, Acer also has two new Iconia tablets that will be running Android. The Z500 is a 5-inch smartphone with an IPS display, 8 MP camera, and GTS Studio Sound. Acer says that the improved sound quality in the Z500 means users can get CD-like sound from the phone.

The Iconia Tab 10 and One 8 are, respectively, 10 and 8 inches. The Tab 10 includes a full-HD display, Gorilla Glass, quad-core processor, and Android 4.4. On the other hand, the One 8 comes with a 1280 x 800 display, quad-core Atom processor, and Android 4.4.
Acer is launching its smartphone in the UK for $195, and the device will be available on September 15. The One 8 tablet is going to be available throughout the EMEA region beginning in October for $195. The Tab 10 will be offered in September in the US for $199. |
