ASUS has a new and affordable tablet that runs on Windows 8.1, if that is what you've been looking for. The new ASUS VivoTab 8 is very similar to the MeMO Pad 8 in many ways, except that it ditches Android for Windows 8.1.

Under the hood, you'll find a 64-bit Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.33 GHz. The VivoTab 8 has an 8-inch 1280 x 800 resolution display, 2 MP front and rear cameras, 32 GB of expandable storage and 2 GB of RAM. It's got a tiny 15.2Wh (3,040mAh) Li-Po battery, which is rated for 8 hours of usage. The tablet is pretty light, weighing just 330g.
No word on pricing as of yet, but we expect ASUS to charge us under $200 for the VivoTab 8. |
