DRAM chipmakers Inotera Memories and Nanya Technology both have reported revenue gains for August as compared to a month earlier and a year earlier.

Inotera's August revenues totaled NT$6.71 billion (US$223.95 million), up 0.9% sequentially and 20.5% on year. For the first eight months of 2014, revenues amounted to NT$55.04 billion, increasing 70.2% from a year earlier.

Nanya posted revenues of NT$4.46 billion for August, up 1.5% on month and 26.9% on year. Accumulated sales through August 2014 topped NT$32.46 billion, edging up 5.6% from a year ago.
