Pre-orders through Verizon Wireless for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are now shipping out to customers. The phones officially launch on all major carriers September 19, and these pre-orders probably won't reach their new owners until then. Apple usually makes sure that the phones do not reach customers early, and this year should be no different.

Verizon customers are reporting their orders say "shipped" but the only thing that guarantees is that they are moving out of the carrier's hands. They must still reach the shipping provider before heading to customers.
There is always the slim possibility that a phone will arrive a day early, but don't count on it. |
