An Android One smartphone is already being sold in India ahead of a press event scheduled for September 15 during which Google is expected to talk about the platform. The first phone to launch in the country is from one of Google's manufacturing partners, Spice. Spice's Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 is being sold for $115 through Flipkart.

The device includes Android KitKat 4.4.4, a 4.5-inch display, 1.3GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of storage.

Other manufacturers are expected to introduce their Android One phones for the Indian market following Google's press event on Monday.
