Following the official announcement of the Desire earlier this month, HTC has launched the smartphone in India alongside the Desire 820Q and Desire 816G. No pricing has been revealed, but it is expected to be made available in the market from early November.
The HTC Desire 820 and Desire 820Q are the company's latest 64-bit mid-range smartphones, which have almost the same specs. Both devices come with dual-SIM support, a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash alongside an 8 MP front snapper and run Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense user interface. The only difference is the chipset and amount of RAM, which is octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC and 2 GB for HTC Desire 820, while the Desire 820q comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 410 and only 1 GB of RAM.
HTC Desire 816G is the same Desire 816 that is already available, except it comes with a few changes. Instead, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and 1.5 GB of RAM, it uses a MediaTek chipset with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. There is also only 3 G connectivity, meaning users will miss LTE support. |
