Due to regulatory delays, the iPhone 6 did not launch in China immediately. Though, a government regulator has now stated the phone is almost through China's regulatory process and should be approved soon. Tencent recently spoke with Miao Wei, chief of China's Ministry Of Industry, and Wei revealed the regulatory results should be in "very soon."

Both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have already launched in the US, UK, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, etc. China being left out of that launch group resulted in the new phones selling for thousands in the country.
